Game release status
As you know, we want to get this game out as soon as possible. The music has all been finalized and the game is 100% complete. The only problem still lies with the game stat tracking. It seems to be a bigger problem than we thought, apparently the servers need to be upgraded and some additional work needs to be done to bring everything back online and have the game running 100% with the stats.
Our Goals
When we first started creating Raze 1, we were really just fooling around. It was our first big game and we really just wanted to see how cool we could make it. Almost 2 years and 100 million views later, we will soon be releasing Raze 2.
With Raze 2 however, we had much different goals in mind. Not only did we want to create a great successor to the original Raze, but we wanted to create a truly original experience for a Flash game. We wanted to create a game that rivals console games, in Flash. To do this, we put an extreme amount of detail and depth into the game. From graphics and music, to game play, to even the menus, you should notice a high level of quality and options that you will find only in big PC and Console games.
A Look into Raze 2
Now I’d like to give everyone an in depth look into Raze 2, and what it has to offer. Below are a number of images that will show off various parts of the game. (Click any image to view a larger version)
We created the main menu in a style that would seem most similar to console games. As I’ve mentioned, we wanted to bring a really unique experience to Flash. That is, the experience of a huge, complex game, inside the tiny flash window. Also, the game keeps track of all your stats and will display the total world stats on the bar below. Some of the stats it records are the total amount of bullets ever fired, how many enemies were killed with swords, how many total credits were earned, etc. I can’t mention them all here, as there is an extremely large amount of stats that are recorded!

The menu, many options to explore!
Here is the Armory Overview. It will show everything about your character all in one page. From here you can select any category to change your name/skin, weapon, ability, equipment, etc. In Raze 2 you will also have the option to purchase credit packs. This is completely optional, but if you are really enjoying the game, now you may pay a dollar or so to get a quick boost of credits to use in game. The money will be donated to help us developers for future projects. (Remember, feel free to just ignore it and earn credits normally through the game
)

View all your character data all at once
You’ve already seen the weapons screen in the demo, so here is a preview of the equipment screen. There are 3 categories (Offensive, Utility, and Defensive), and you can set a piece of equipment for each category which will modify your character in some way.

Select up to 3 pieces of equipment
From the demo and trailer, you may remember seeing a few bonuses from killing enemies in certain ways, such as “Headshot!” or “Slasher!”. Now there are tons of them! On this page, you can see the the bonuses you have gotten so far in game. There are also some achievements for finding out all of the bonuses. Can you find them all?

All your earned kill bonuses
The quick match is now much more customizable than that of Raze 1. You can now set up to 4 teams, and set the exact amount of characters per team, their difficulty, etc. You can also set special modes which are earned through completing secret achievements.

Quick match setup
Did the demo run slow for you? No problem! Now there is a vast amount of graphical options you can set to fine tune the game to your needs. Of course you can do it the simpler way by selecting High, Medium, Low, etc on the left. But if you like, you can completely customize your graphical experience by manually making changes on the right.

Advanced graphics menu
The game also features much better information on what’s going on around you. For example, in a Capture the Flag game, the score board will show who is currently carrying a flag, who is currently defending their flag, and who is dead (shown in the image below).

Capture the Flag on Mines
Also, the game can now sport much much much more action than Raze 2. Below is a 3 vs 3 vs 3 vs 3 (4 teams, 12 players total) game of Domination. It is absolutely crazy. You can also see in the bottom right which flags are currently held by which team, and how many points you are getting per second.

Domination on Headquarters
And just for fun, here is the scoreboard for the above game, showing how it looks with a full 4 teams.

The campaign missions also have many unique features in them that aren’t available in Quick Match games. Although I’d love to give some examples, I’d rather let you find them out for yourself while playing through the campaign.
